The painting is in a characteristic 60's style and shows the Mall looking towards Admiralty Arch away from Buckingham Palace, at the junction of Marlborough Road and St James Park Gates, with bold brush strokes and a raised surface pattern of paint, this work is dramatic and confident, showing the confidence of the time.

This work is probably 1960's and is in an original 60's frame with a cloth insert.  The whole piece exudes 'mid century' and characterises the period with London at art and fashions epicentre.
