A Vintage Studio Bowl (1960's)

A hand thrown vintage studio bowl by J Mitchell entitled "Tuesday"  1963  inscribed signed and dated on the base. 

High sided bowl in form, quite naturalistic, the lower half in brown glaze incised with fine lines in multiple strokes and directions, the top half  a paler glaze with a stipple pattern the rim incised with a pinch pattern.  

The entire interior of the bowl in a naturalistic texture in a mid grey  The bowl rings a pleasant tone when struck.
