A Hadrill & Horstmann Desk Lamp

An original counterpoise desk lamp by renowned British engineering manufacturer Hadrill & Horstmann, produced in the 1960s at its factory in Bath, England. A real collector’s piece,  An exceptional example of a vintage Hadrill Horstmann counterbalance lamp. An industrial design classic featuring the iconic cast iron counterbalance mechanism, original gold paintwork and vented conical shaped shade.  English 1960's

The mechanism with an unusual counter-balance weight design, revolving on a weighted square base.  The lamp with a slender conical shade revolves and adjusts and stretches horizontally and vertically with little effort  and no springs. adjustments are held by knurled edge chrome steel knobs at each joint.  

The lamp is in overall good condition with some paint losses around the edges and minor abrasions.  There is a small dent in the shade with some minor paint loss.
