A 19th Century Cast Brass and Steel Wine Cradle.  On four Brass feet, an engine turned base supporting six steel columns with knop and baluster divisions. The two tallest central columns supporting a brass wire cradle in the shape and dimensions of a wine bottle.  The two shorter transverse columns supporting a winding rod and a stem connecting it to the base of the cradle.  By turning the brass handle at one end of the winding rod a wine bottle can be made to tip horizontally to disgorge its contents in a controlled manner.

The whole includes a brass ring secured by a chain to the bottom of the cradle, used to secure the wine bottle in place by holding the neck by a number of notches to the cradle.

The cradle is held at the near top of the support posts by two brass screw knobs, with a brass carry handle to the top
