A large and fine Early 19th Century antique English Georgian blue and white transfer printed, pottery serving dish in the rare "Piping Shepherd" pattern. Probably potted by Edward and George Phillips of Longport, Staffordshire (1822 - 1848).
Printed with a scene of a shepherd playing his pipe with a lady seated among sheep.
The surrounding depicting a bridge and a house on the hill in the background. The central depiction set within a border of flowers and ivy leaves.
